Write the word 'Complaint' in the top left-hand corner of the envelope. Always include your name, address, telephone number, and a clear description of the incident in your letter.
What happens to your complaint?

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt once your complaint has arrived.

A complaint handler from the brigade will investigate what happened. Both you and the staff member involved will be given the opportunity to give your account of events.

We will explore whether a mediation meeting is possible. You will always receive a written response to your complaint.

Are you not satisfied with the outcome? You can ask the Independent Complaints Committee or the National Ombudsman to review your complaint.
