Air cargo security and economic investigation

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee supervises air cargo security. The Customs Administration carries out economic investigation. Your company can apply for regulated status from both organisations. If you have such a status, your air cargo will be loaded onto the aircraft faster and more easily.

You can apply for the status of regulated agent or known consignor with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. You can apply for the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) with the Customs Administration. You can apply for both statuses simultaneously. The Marechaussee and Customs Administration will then process your application together.
