Marechaussee.nl wants this website to be accessible to everybody. If, despite this, you end up on a page that is not accessible, please let us know.
What is an accessible website?
An accessible website is easier to use for all target groups. That is why government websites must meet accessibility requirements as laid down in NEN 301 549/WCAG 2.1. This is stipulated in the decree on digital accessibility of the government (temporary measures), Tijdelijk besluit digitale toegankelijkheid overheid. Government websites must publish an accessibility statement in which they account for the accessibility requirements.
How we make our website accessible
We ensure the accessibility of our website by taking several measures as part of our day-to-day processes:
- Accessibility by design: accessibility is included from the very start as part of our processes for website design, creation and content.
- Inspection: independent experts regularly test all or parts of our website for accessibility. We also use software for functional and technical aspects as well as the site content. We fix any problems and ensure they do not reoccur.
- Employee expertise: our employees keep their knowledge about accessibility up to date and apply it where necessary.
