Royal Netherlands Marechaussee reflects on successful NATO Summit security operation (video)
The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee looks back on a successfully concluded operation surrounding this week's NATO Summit in the Netherlands. The Marechaussee made a significant contribution to the safe, dignified, and hospitable conduct of this event.

The security operation was characterised by intensive cooperation between various national, international, military, and civilian partners. The Marechaussee maintained a visible presence with ceremonial escorts at locations including Schiphol Airport, the Catshuis, the World Forum, and Huis ten Bosch Palace. In addition to these visible duties, the Marechaussee also focused on less visible tasks, such as surveillance and security at Schiphol, the palace, at delegations and in hotels, deployment at Temporary Military Objects, and border control enforcement.
The summit proceeded without any significant incidents, thanks in part to the cooperation with partners including the Ministry of Defence and the police.
Major Greet van der Mars, overall commander of the operation: "We can say with certainty: okay, everything went smoothly, without major incidents."
